Keeping your kids and even your spouse healthy, has become a challenge today. Most of the time kids have no idea of what they are getting in to when they run around in the dirt, get drenched in the rain or playing with another kid who has aninfectiousdisease. So it is your responsibility to teach them when to let loose and when to take care of themselves.
Take care at home
While at home, kids will at least be under your purview. So you can ask them not to do something or even if they do play around you are there to oversee if something happens accidently. But there are steps you can take to care for them without the need of an accident to trigger it. For example always keep a baby scale at home so you can weigh them and thus be warned if something is wrong. At times kids lose weight due to too much exercise, which is running around and playing. This is during 1-2 or 3 years; however during that time it is your duty to feed them right with nutritious food. Monitoring your baby at home can help you with that.
Don’t worry too much
Although kids bring you a whole new dimension of worry, much more than you worried about your parents, siblings or even spouse, there is nothing to be terrified about. Kids should be allowed to run around and have fun. Just because you assume they will fall and hurt themselves, don’t try to prevent them from having a happy time. On the other hand, you can let them play with puzzles and give them books to readpulling them away from the “dangerous” stuff. Drawing or colouring also are good activities. With this, you can gauge where a kids affinities lie; if they are more akin to arts or not, whether they like taking things apart and putting them together etc.
Running to the hospital
Running to the hospital all the time when you have a mild scare is not psychologically sound for the kid, nor for you. The child might start to think that he or she is really sick; if that sort of a feeling enters their mind at so early an age, it can have an effect in their future. Sometimes we encounter people who are actually well, but “act” as if they are sick frequently. This is when their subconscious keeps telling them that they are sick, or that they can get ill at a moment’s notice. Keep some medical equipment at home such as a thermometer, that way you can check temperature yourself so there is no need to rush to the hospital every time you feel uneasy about your kid’s body heat.Kids are the ultimate gift we have and something we leave in this world so unwillingly when we leave. Therefore taking care of them is your crucial responsibility at the same time letting them have fun in the young years.
